The Workforce Administration team has an exciting opportunity for a Program Specialist Technician - Apprenticeship Coordinator. The Apprenticeship Coordinator will monitor and validate reimbursement processes adhering to funding policies and intermediary agreements for the Apprenticeship Funding Committee. Work with sponsors, apprentices, and career planners on supportive services, reimbursement procedures, contracts, and modifications. Additional duties include providing assistance with registered apprenticeship program development and monitoring the process of program registration when necessary.

*The location of this position will be determined based on selection of the successful candidate.

Example of Duties

  • Communicate and provide technical assistance to employers.
  • Issue financial reimbursements and ensure alignment with IDOL and USDOL financial rules and regulations.
  • Reconcile Apprenticeship Idaho team budget.
  • Work with IDOL team members and external partners to streamline fiscal processes.
  • Complete apprentice data entry in IdahoWorks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications -You must possess all the minimum qualifications below to pass the exam for this position. Please make sure your resume or work history supports how you meet the minimum qualifications for this position. Failure to do this may disqualify you from being considered for this position.


Experience:

  • Determining program compliance with state or federal laws. Typically gained by at least one year of experience developing or reviewing program procedures and policies for compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Preparing and presenting detailed information to groups of people.  Typically gained by at least one year of experience researching, compiling, and organizing information in order to make oral presentations about the information to groups in a business setting. Topics may be informational, technical, or behavioral. Include in your response audience size, topic, length, and frequency of the presentations. One-to-one training is not qualifying.
  • Translating technical material into easily understandable oral and written communication. Typically gained by at least one year of experience of interpretation of information and translation to others in various formats (oral, graphic, web based, etc.) Some examples would be : experience working with clients explaining how laws, rules, or regulations apply to their circumstances; communicating information to the public or project team; preparing written responses to request for program information; preparing written training material. Please describe the more difficult type of information type of information you were involved with and how that information was used.

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Experience processing invoices.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Experience reviewing and explaining complex topics.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Carry out assignments without detailed instructions.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook as well as Adobe
