Legislative Services Office


Part-time Administrative Assistant

This is a part-time, year-round, non-partisan position with the Idaho Legislature, with the possibility of additional hours during the legislative session.

Position Description: Provide administrative support to the Director’s office.

Typical Duties:

  • Coordinates administrative activities that require frequent contact with the media, the public, volunteers, other state agencies, and governmental officials. Serves as the first point of contact for visitors to the office and via phone.
  • Maintains calendar and facilitates reservations for events/activities.
  • Purchases office supplies and follows inventory protocols.
  • Data entry of accounts payable and receivable and PCard transactions.
  • Scanning and filing of various financial documents.
  • Staff legislative interim committees, including taking meeting minutes.

Minimum Qualifications:Positive, helpful, detail-oriented, with excellent communication and organizational skills. Experience using Microsoft Suite programs. “LUMA” experience is a plus. Candidates must be available during office hours, Monday through Friday.
