ITD is currently seeking a motivated individual to fill a Business Analyst position in the Headquarters Highway Design Section. This position provides statewide highway project bid readiness reviews of contract specifications, plans, and project estimates and works closely with the six districts and local entities to discuss and resolve any necessary changes. This position will also provide statewide expertise in highway design software, bridging the gap between highway design standards and design software tools.
This position will work as part of the HQ team that intersects with in-house Contracting specialists, consultant service experts, and design engineers with expertise in highway design facets and design standards. In this position, you will provide customer service and expertise statewide to six ITD districts as well as Local entities.
It is an exciting time to be in Headquarters Highway Design! There are department initiatives in their infancy that this position will engage in and contribute to, moving the department forward within the areas of digital delivery and Business Information Models.
The ideal candidate will be able to function independently and within a team, take initiative and demonstrate follow through, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A strong attention to detail, ability to work well with others, and excellent communication skills are key. The selected incumbent must also possess a wide array of practical experience in highway design principles and processes, as well as Bentley ORD design and related software.
