The Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections (IDJC) is now hiring for a Division Administrator to support the Community, Operations, and Programs Services (COPS) Division, located at our Headquarters office in Downtown Boise.
This is a full-time position responsible for managing operations, including fiscal responsibility, and oversees staff within the Community, Operations, and Programs Services (COPS) Division. This position provides consultation and develops partnerships with a variety of government officials and community coalitions and facilitates Department and State community and juvenile justice system initiatives and planning. The Division Administrator serves as a member of the Department’s Leadership Team, participates in Department policy and goal setting, and participates in the Department strategic planning.

The Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections has regionalized state services for juveniles committed to its custody, making it possible for most juveniles to remain close enough to their communities so parents and other key community members can take part in the juvenile's treatment. State juvenile correctional centers are located in Lewiston, Nampa, and St. Anthony and provide a full complement of services for youth who range from 10 to 20 years of age.

Minimum Qualifications:
Considerable knowledge of and/or experience with:
Typically met with a Bachelor’s degree in juvenile justice, criminal justice, social work, sociology, public administration or a related field AND at least five (suggestion) years of experience working in a juvenile justice program area where responsibilities included coordination of services or projects across multiple systems OR a Master’s degree in one of those same fields AND two (suggestion) years of similar experience; OR at least nine credits of upper division coursework in areas noted above AND at least four years of experience working in a correctional or criminal justice setting)
Experience:
Typically met by approximately two years of experience in each area.
Preferred Qualifications:
Typically met by a Bachelor's degree as described above or at least two upper division college-level courses and one year of experience working in a juvenile justice program area where responsibilities included coordination of services or projects across multiple systems)
