Paralegal Medicaid Estate - Office of the Attorney General

Closing Date: Open until filled

Start Date: To be determined upon hire

Salary: Salary Depends on Experience (DOE), starting at $34.37/hour

Summary:

Join a team of two attorneys and two other paralegals in the Medicaid Estate Recovery Unit within the Health and Human Services Division of the Office of Attorney General. Primary duties include managing large caseloads, communicating with attorneys and family members, preparing correspondence and legal documents, court filings, research, and updating databases. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of legal experience in civil court practice. 
  • Probate, foreclosure, and Time Matters knowledge.
  • Must be proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and able to use database software.
  • Attention to detail with excellent grammar and proofreading skills. 
  • Strong organizational and office skills required. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Paralegal certification or associate degree.
