Description
This recruitment is being used to fill a second registered nurse manager position with Idaho State Police Forensic Services (ISPFS). The position is a statewide Idaho Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Trainer / Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) Coordinator. The individual selected for this position will provide training and education to health care professionals related to sexual assault forensic medical examinations. The individual selected will also coordinate statewide sexual assault response teams. The incumbent will report directly to the Forensic Services Laboratory System Director at Idaho State Police (ISP) headquarters in Meridian.
Extensive in-state travel to deliver training and or perform SANE clinical hours is expected at the expense of ISP. Public speaking and presentations are required in this position. The individual will be required to obtain and maintain SANE-A or SANE-P certification.
This is a full-time, classified position with the Idaho State Police and includes a variety of benefits such as health insurance and retirement.

All Idaho State Police Forensic Laboratories are accredited to the ISO 17025 Standard. State police Forensic Laboratories serve state, local, and federal law enforcement agencies; state and county prosecutors; and public defenders. ISPFS SANE courses are approved by the International Association of Forensic Nurses (IAFN). PLEASE NOTE: The successful applicant will be required to complete a background investigation and polygraph examination, which includes drug screening. The candidate selected for hire will be required to submit a DNA sample after starting work. The DNA profile generated from the sample will be entered into the Idaho State Police Forensic Services staff DNA elimination database. This DNA database is used to identify any instances of contamination of evidence by staff members.
