Tax Commission Career Opportunity

The Idaho State Tax Commission is seeking a talented graphic artist to join our Tax Payer Resources team. A successful candidate will enjoy working with people from across the agency, figuring out new technology, participating in teams, and managing projects where you get to plan, organize, lead, and get stuff done!

Responsibilities:

  • Design, edit, and post tax forms and instructions for the agency.
  • Create fill-in forms for website. 
  • Produce individual and business income tax booklets for print. 
  • Design, create and update  publications and flyers. 
  • Manage the agency's brand, and design and create branding templates for documents and other items.
  • Design, Create and edit SharePoint pages. 
  • Collaborate with forms committees on changes to forms.
  • Manage the agency's document tracking system. 
  • Collaborate with forms committees on changes to forms.
  • Advise committees on possible solutions for potential draft errors and impact of proposed changes. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Some knowledge of management practices (typically gained by completion of at least 1 upper division course or 60 hours of training that covered the essential elements of management (planning, organizing, leading, and controlling) OR at least 6 months of experience performing all management elements)
  • Some knowledge of program or project planning and implementation (typically gained by at least 6 months of experience involved in program/project management planning and implementation as a team member or individual contributor.)
  • Experience developing and evaluating policies and procedures (typically gained by at least 6 months of experience writing or assisting in the review, audit, or development of policies, procedures, field memoranda, directives or post orders)

Desirable Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working on or leading team made up of members with diverse perspectives.
  • Experience using:
    • InDesign or other software to create forms
    • Adobe Creative Suite software
    • Microsoft SharePoint
