IT Systems and Infrastructure Engineer III

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES: 

  • Active Directory administration
  • M365 administration
  • MDM administration
  • Arbitrator system administration
  • BeyondTrust remote access administration
  • Scripting on automation 
  • Implement and maintain server backup strategies 
  • Work with customers, both internal and external, to ensure proper functioning of all Unix/Linux/Windows servers
  • Administer and maintain ISP's business data stores
  • Administer virtual machine infrastructure
  • Support ISP web servers (hardware and software powering the ISP public, POST public, ISP intranet and ILETS intranet websites)
  • Maintain SAN infrastructure and ensure storage availability
  • Assist in long-range IT planning
  • Assist other IT personnel in their tasks to ensure our servers/networks are operating correctly and optimally
  • Strategically plan and communicate to IT Management the needs of Agency infrastructure and the required budget needs to posture the Agency for the future

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Considerable knowledge of current information technology trends and capabilities.
  • Typically gained by a bachelor's degree directly related to information technology OR at least four years of work experience in information technology. Education and experience must be within the last five years.
  • Experience planning, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting network, server, or storage systems. 
  • Typically met by at least four years of full-time work experience where planning, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network, server or storage systems was part of the primary job responsibilities.
  • Experience resolving network or server problems.
  • Typically met by at least four years of full-time work experience (within the last five years) where resolving network or server problems was part of the primary responsibilities.
  • Experience working with end users to develop and implement information technology solutions for user computing needs in a business environment. 
  • Typically gained by at least four years of full-time work experience where interviewing and consulting with clients/users to develop and implement solutions to meet computing requirements in a business environment was part of the primary responsibilities.
  • Experience as a technical lead implementing or supporting network, server, or storage systems.
  • Typically gained by at least four years of full-time job experience where work as a technical lead implementing or supporting network, server or storage systems was part of the primary job responsibilities.
