The Idaho Transportation Department is hiring for a Technical Records Specialist 2 position in the Division of Motor Vehicles. The successful individual will have a good understanding of DMV as well as a proven ability to build relationships and trust among management and coworkers. This position will complete complex office administrative tasks and specializes in the DMV Administrative practices, coding and will lead specific administrative projects.

Example of Duties

  • Providing guidance/recommendations on the various tasks and functions, which fall under DMV Administration.
  • Assisting in the organization of DMV equipment and supplies
  • Making decisions regarding timesheets, LDPR, coding, purchasing, budget corrections, payment processing, etc. 
  • Researching and analyzing a variety of financial reports, documents, and systems to determine appropriate actions and provide information.
  • Meeting with Supervisors for monthly reviews of compiled reports
  • Reviewing or drafting documents sent out on behalf of DMV management.
  • Providing additional support to the Management Assistant and Administrator.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience:

  • Monitoring record systems to identify and correct errors;
  • Interpreting, explaining, and applying laws, regulations, and complex policies for multiple or highly specialized programs;
  • Analyzing information and researching a variety of sources to identify and resolve problems or issues;
  • Dealing with individuals from varying cultural and socio-economic backgrounds in stressful situations;
  • Entering and retrieving data using a computerized record system; 
  • Composing and proofreading business correspondence.
