The Southwest Idaho Treatment Center (SWITC) in Nampa has an opening for a full-time Custodian to join our team. The schedule will be Monday - Friday, 8AM-5PM, with some flexibility on the start and end time.

 Any applicant offered employment in this position at the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare will be required to complete a criminal history background investigation. Employment is dependent upon satisfactory results of the investigation.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:

  • Maintaining cleanliness within the buildings on our campus. 
  • Ensure a safe environment by identifying and addressing potential hazards. 
  • Performing tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming. 
  • Handle waste disposal. 
  • Restock supplies. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

You must possess all the minimum qualifications below to pass the exam for this position. Please make sure your resume or work history supports your meeting the minimum qualifications for this position. Failure to do this may disqualify you from being considered for this position.

  • Willing to be trained and are physically able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following activities: operate power cleaning equipment such as high speed buffers and vacuum cleaners; clean toilets, bath facilities, locker rooms, swimming pools, and similar areas; move tables, chairs, and other heavy items; service/maintain equipment used in custodial work.
