The Mission of the Idaho Department of Correction is to create a model correctional system that provides equitable access to programming and opportunities that reflect a community experience, foster connections, and restore victims of crime. The incumbent is responsible for assisting probation and parole officers to make complex decisions regarding the care and supervision of individuals under the supervision of probation and parole in Idaho.
Perform diverse support functions to probation and parole officers. Daily interactions with individuals on felony supervision in order to address behavior. Provide guidance, referrals, and general assistance to individuals under IDOC community supervision. Frequent contact with internal and external customers, which requires good public relation skills. Function with some independence and exercise discretion in applying policies and procedures.
