Lucky Peak State Park is seeking a dedicated Park Ranger with a focus on compliance and maintenance, making it an ideal opportunity for individuals experienced in marina or outdoor recreation settings!
Located just minutes from vibrant downtown Boise, Idaho, our park offers a wide range of outdoor activities, including swimming, picnicking, fishing, boating, and biking. Nestled along the picturesque Boise River Greenbelt, this park consists of three distinct day-use units:
As a Park Ranger, your responsibilities will encompass ensuring park rule compliance, preserving the park's natural beauty, assisting, and informing visitors, and providing support to our operations across these three unique units.

These positions involve various skills including public relations; natural resource management; park building and grounds maintenance; park and recreation rule compliance, and conflict resolution of visitor and user issues.
This position involves working nights, weekends, and many holidays, in all weather conditions, and with potentially caustic materials and pesticides. It also involves lifting items weighing 40 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds, bending, stooping, and climbing ladders.
A background check administered by the Department may be required.
