Summary:

To provide leadership in strategic technology planning, and in the design, enhancement, implementation, and consultation on complex multitenant datacenter Network Infrastructure; translate business requirements into functional solutions delivered through advanced network topologies and associated technologies; manage the administration, installation and maintenance of advanced and highly complex networks; perform related work.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages and oversees a critical network support team in a high demand, and high stress environment on a 24/7 basis.
  • Troubleshoots complex network problems utilizing advanced network management tools.
  • Participates in, or leads network design, and contributes to technical insights and ideas.
  • Anticipates implementation obstacles and develops plans to address them. Analyzes cross-technology and cross-platform issues.
  • Provides input into the technology plan for the organization and ensures that plans are integrated effectively with other aspects of the technical infrastructure.
  • Solves technical problems that may have never been encountered previously in the organization.
  • Provides recommendations for investment in new products and technology solutions, supported by appropriate.
  • Works directly with senior managers and leadership in customer agencies.
  • Provide consulting services to project teams on areas of expertise.

Detailed Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Good knowledge of management practices.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current LAN, WAN or SD-WAN networks that support voice, data, video and wireless client connections in a large, diverse business environment, along with professional vendor certification in network technology from a recognized vendor.

MQ Specialties:

  • Advanced experience with complex, managed service provider, datacenter environments
  • Experience leading enterprise level network technology teams in a highly demanding environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in advanced routing protocols and datacenter technologies such as: BGP, OSPF, EVPN/VXLAN, VRF, VPC/MLAG/MCLAG, and Q-in-Q.
