Southwest District Health (SWDH) is recruiting two (2) Registered Dietitian, Public Health Seniors (WIC Dietitian) to join the dedicated group of public health professionals in the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Nutrition Program within the Division of Family and Clinic Services. One position is full-time (40 hours per week), and the other is part-time (20 hours per week). Both positions are benefited positions.
As a WIC Dietitian and public health employee, you will serve an active role in improving the health of your community. As part of a small, but mighty team, you will plan, develop, implement, and evaluate nutrition care and education programs for clients in the six-county area of SWDH. Your responsibilities will include program planning activities and related work. Additionally, you’ll provide nutrition assessment consultation and interventions for participants of the WIC program.

For full-time positions, our offering transforms the hourly pay range from $29.43 - $32.89/hour to an estimated $42.60 - $46.47/hour. Minimum Qualifications (MQ):
“Good knowledge” typically gained through either a closely related bachelor's degree, 2-4 upper division college courses related to the subject and 2-4 years of mid-level work experience closely related to the subject, or a combination of coursework and experience that represents the knowledge level above.

These positions are not covered by Social Security. As a result, employees do not pay Social Security taxes and will not earn credits toward Social Security retirement, disability, or survivor benefits based on earnings from this job. However, Medicare taxes will still be withheld, and these earnings will count toward Medicare eligibility.
