The new Office of Program Integrity (OPI) in the Department of Health and Welfare (DHW) is building the inaugural team of three to lead the important work of internally auditing, examining, and evaluating the department’s program adherence to legislative intent. These staff will serve DHW and the people of Idaho by being key players in ensuring our work is credible, responsive, efficient, and effective, and programs operate within regulatory and legislative requirements. OPI functions independently within the department, reporting to the Bureau of Compliance and is dedicated to promoting confidence and accountability in state government. This position is for a Principal Compliance Auditor in Downtown Boise.
OPI staff will conduct independent complex evaluations with care and confidentiality that consider a wide range of program work and perspectives. By working collaboratively with programs to strengthen regulatory compliance, evaluate the efficiency of program operations, and guide staff, the OPI team will help achieve department objectives. Successful candidates will demonstrate leadership and possess excellent communication skills and judgment to meet project objectives. Candidates must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with DHW programs, and other stakeholders.
