Are you a licensed Speech and Language Pathologist ready to make a difference in the lives birth to 3 yr-olds and their families as an early interventionist? The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare Infant Toddler Program seeks unique individuals who can meld pediatric therapy with key evidence-based practices that impact caregiver know how and development of infants/toddlers who may have developmental delays or disabilities. The geographical assignment is Ponderay and surrounding areas. Travel is required to provide in-person evaluations and services in the child’s natural environments – home, childcare, etc. Evaluations and therapeutic services are provided in the child’s natural environments applying coaching interaction methods. Interventionists apply evidence-based practices of caregiver consultation, strategy coaching and education to capitalize on the learning opportunities that present themselves in the family’s daily routines and activities.
This position may be eligible for telework after successful completion of probation and necessary training. Approval to telecommute is not guaranteed and subject to termination at any time.
The Idaho Department of Health & Welfare is a drug-free workplace.
