ISP Financial Specialist
The Idaho State Police (ISP) has a current opening for a Financial Specialist in Meridian. This position will perform various professional financial duties requiring the application of accounting principles and practices.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
Responsibilities:
· Prepare cost allocations and accounting entries.
· Prepare, analyze and/or audit financial records and documents, accounting systems, workpapers, budgets, sales tax and payroll records, and other related documents.
· Prepare and analyze budget documents
· Develop and prepare complex financial documents such as financial statements, cost analysis, reports and work papers.
· Research financial data for accuracy, trends, and variances to ensure compliance.
· Analyze, research, maintain financial data, and develop financial documents/reports and resolve problems.
· Monitor and review financial and performance reports.
· Training others on financial information.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Good knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Experience using Microsoft Excel, or equivalent spreadsheet software to perform complexfinancial functions.
· Experience developing and preparing financial reports, performing expenditure analysis and performing reconciliations.
· Experience using LUMA or other financial software
· Experience or understanding of the Legislative process
· Experience or understanding of the State budgeting process
· Experience with agency assets and performing annual inventory of assets
