The Idaho State Department of Agriculture is currently recruiting for a Building Facilities Forman in the Administration Division.

This position involves physical tasks including lifting and carrying items weighing approximately 90 pounds, bending, stooping, shoveling, and climbing ladders. Ideal candidates will be able to work effectively under pressure with multiple priorities and deadlines, communicate clearly with supervisors, peers, contractors, and stakeholders, and proficiently use computers for maintaining and accessing records, creating reports, conducting research, and utilizing email.
Example of Duties
Maintenance of Agricultural Complex Buildings (50%)
Maintenance of Agricultural Complex Grounds (30%)
Oversight of Custodial Services (10%)
Administrative and Other Duties (10%)
Minimum Qualifications
These qualifications are mandatory for applicants:
· Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. The ideal candidate must have at least six months of paid work experience maintaining and/or repairing HVAC systems in a commercial environment.
Performing skilled repair and maintenance in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, building maintenance, and grounds maintenance. Typically gained through at least six months experience performing skilled carpentry and "rough-in" plumbing, electrical work, building maintenance and grounds-related work
· Using specialized tools and equipment related to the trades mentioned.
Maintaining maintenance records and preparing related reports. Typically gained by one year’s work experience maintaining maintenance records and preparing related reports.
· Estimating material needs and costs for various tasks and reading blueprints and specifications. The ideal candidate must have at least six months of work experience reading blueprints and estimating material needs and costs to be considered for this position
