About the Position: This Legal Assistant position is a great opportunity for a professional who's looking to provide consumer protection and public safety for all Idahoans.
Example of Duties:
Primary duties include supporting attorneys by preparing, proofreading, and filing documents in Idaho’s state and federal courts; managing attorney calendars and deadlines; preparing documents; assisting with supporting Board meetings and public hearings; maintaining case files and other records; and completing any other administrative task that furthers the goals of the Division.
Minimum Qualifications:
Good knowledge of legal research methods; the court system and procedures; legal ethics.
Experience: interpreting and analyzing judicial decisions and statutes; identifying and preparing appropriate legal documents; applying facts to case law in analysis and briefs; drafting legal documents and related correspondence; using a tickler system and tracking documents on a computerized database.
