About the Agency: The Idaho State Board of Education (Board) is established in the Idaho Constitution for the “general supervision of the state educational institutions and public school system.” State law charges the Board with the general supervision, governance and control of public schools and postsecondary institutions, including community colleges. The Board is comprised of eight members: seven appointed by the Governor, as well as the statewide elected superintendent of public instruction. The Office of the State Board of Education (OSBE) is charged with providing professional staff support to the Board and implementing the Board’s policies, programs, and initiatives.

Summary:
The Outreach Coordinator – Eastern Idaho serves as a regionally based professional charged with facilitating outreach, engagement, and support for programs, policies, and partnerships designed to increase the postsecondary-going rate for Idaho’s K-12 students and their families.
Daily efforts will focus on strengthening the utilization of Idaho’s Opportunity Scholarship and Idaho LAUNCH grant programs, increasing Apply Idaho and FAFSA application rates, and promoting the Next Steps Idaho brand and suite of resources through school site visits, trainings, sponsored events, and other related work.
This position can be based in Pocatello or Idaho Falls.
