The Idaho Department of Fish and Game (IDFG) is hiring a Mechanic to join our Fleet program, located in Nampa, Idaho. IDFG Fleet program is a dynamic, centralized program serving most of Fish and Game’s transportation needs, from light duty trucks and sedans to UTV and motorcycles. This exciting position will be a key member of the Fleet team and will report directly to the Fleet Manager. This position could be a perfect career opportunity for you to put your mechanical knowledge to work for the sportsmen of Idaho at IDFG.
The incumbent will be responsible for installing the wiring on the Department’s custom enforcement trucks, including new installs, breaking down retired vehicle equipment and conducting minor repairs on vehicles housed at the Fleet warehouse. The ideal candidate will be an experienced mechanic with knowledge of diagnostic, maintenance, and repair techniques for a wide variety of vehicles and equipment.

Minimum Qualifications: (These qualifications are required)
Along with the minimum qualifications, the preferred candidate will possess experience in welding and fabricating specialized vehicular devices, as well as hold a forklift certification. Competency in various Microsoft applications is also desired, along with experience using personal computers to input, retrieve, and update data for maintaining repair records. Candidates with the aforementioned skills and experience may be given additional consideration at time of interviews, so please ensure that any relevant knowledge or experience is included in your resume.
