COUNCIL ON DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND VICTIM ASSISTANCE

The Idaho Council on Domestic Violence and Victim Assistance (ICDVVA) is looking for a Management Assistant to join our Boise team!

The Management Assistant will provide support to management, financial records, and program and special project administration.

ICDVVA Mission To ensure that all victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, and other violent crimes in Idaho have access to quality trauma-informed and victim-centered services.

ICDVVA Vision Victim Services should be accessible and sustainable throughout the State while promoting advocating for and encouraging resiliency and empowerment of victims.

This position may be eligible for telework after successful completion of probation and necessary training.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:

Management Support 
  • Respond to public or inter-agency inquiries and resolve problems/issues.
  • Coordinate travel and meeting logistics, expenses, and reporting for staff, Council/Committee members.
  • Coordinate Council and Committee meeting preparation including logistics, agendas, minutes, supporting documents, and public notifications in accordance with Idaho open meeting law as well as honorariums and travel vouchers.
  • Contribute content, review, edit, and format complex agency documents such as the ICDVVA Strategic Plan, annual Grant RFP and Application, and Grant Administration Manual
 Financial Record Keeping & Data Collection for Subrecipient Agencies 
  • Reconcile and process monthly operational expenses for ICDVVA.
  • Collect quarterly data from subrecipient agencies and enter information into federal grant systems 
Program and Special Project Administration 
  • Administer Offender Intervention Program (OIP), including program and staff application review, monitoring oversight, and OIP Committee administration.
  • Research, analyze, and summarize policies and best practices related to victim services and offender intervention.
  • Manage agency public communication efforts including the monthly newsletter, website, and social media accounts.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of the ICDVVA annual Safety and Resilience Conference and annual Regional Roundtables.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

You must possess all the minimum qualifications below to pass the exam for this position.   • Experience interpreting and applying regulations or policies and procedures. Typically gained by at least one year of experience reviewing for compliance with laws, regulations, or policies and procedures and explaining discrepancies or explaining to others how laws, regulations, or policies apply to specific situations as a regular part of the job.
  • Experience planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating special projects.Typically gained by experience planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating at least two special projects (special projects exist for a short duration, are outside of normal responsibilities and require significant effort and prioritizing of tasks in order to be completed within the defined time frame.) 
  • Experience independently researching, compiling, developing, and summarizing material for reports on a frequent or recurring basis.Typically gained by at least one year of experience in a work, college, or volunteer setting clearly showing how each of the four components listed was required.
  • Experience analyzing information, identifying problems, defining alternatives, and developing recommendations for management/administrators.Typically gained by at least one year of work experience that should have included dealing with staff, overtime, budget, and/or contract problems.

Below is preferred experience. It is not required for the position but applicants with this experience may receive consideration over other applicants.

  • Experience communicating and interacting with the public, public officials, and boards. Typically gained via 1+ years of previous experience.
  • Proficiency in several computer applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Adobe (WordPress is not required, but is a plus). Typically gained via real-world experience within each application to produce complex documents and presentations.
