Summary:

The Idaho Department of Correction is recruiting for a Constituent Service Coordinator to serve on the Transparency Team. This position processes inquiries from family or friends of individuals in IDOC custody, advocacy groups, government agencies, and the public. Through a customer-focused approach, the Constituent Services Coordinator provides consistent, accurate, and timely information and direction about individuals in IDOC custody, and the department's policies, procedures, and practices. This incumbent provides regular feedback to department administrators and others so they may remain informed about issues that generate contact from constituents.

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure timely, responsive, and professional responses to constituent communications, addressing inquiries, concerns, and feedback.
  2. Become familiarized with department resources and contacts to ensure proper routing of concerns that come via written, telephonic, or person-to-person communication.
  3. Communicate with a variety of personalities in a tactful, pleasant, and professional manner.
  4. Treat confidential information with appropriate discretion.
  5. Resolve complex problems or issues concerning the Agency.
  6. Interpret, apply, and implement policies and procedures.
  7. Monitors trends and data analytics to identify and propose recommendations for process improvement.
  8. Prepare regular reports summarizing constituent concerns and feedback trends.
  9. Assist with and respond to public records requests and subpoenas.
  10. Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Experience interpreting and applying regulations, policies, and procedures.
  2. Experience planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating special projects.
  3. Experience independently researching, compiling, developing, and summarizing material for reports on a frequent or recurring basis.
  4. Experience analyzing information, identifying problems, defining alternatives, and developing recommendations for management/administrators.
