Salary: Depends on experience (DOE); Begins at $90,000 to DOE

Location: Boise, Idaho. As Idaho’s capital, Boise offers a rich variety of both cultural and recreational opportunities. Idaho’s world-famous fly-fishing, skiing, kayaking and hiking are all within easy access.
Primary Duties: Work in a team environment to provide a full range of legal representation in Medicaid estate recovery matters. Analyze diverse fact and legal scenarios to marshal and secure probate estate assets for recovery through liens, probate claims, foreclosure, asset-transfer set-asides and other legal procedures.
Prepare appropriate court pleadings and other litigation documents including legal briefs. Appear at court hearings and trials, throughout the State of Idaho, and handle all aspects of representation of the Department of Health and Welfare and its Medicaid recovery claims. Provide representation at administrative hearings related to the Medicaid recovery program. Provide legal advice to the Department of Health and Welfare to advance its Medicaid recovery activities while remaining in compliance with federal law and regulations and state law and rules.
Minimum Qualifications: Member of Idaho State Bar. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience. Must have the ability to synthesize complex interactions between state and federal law that can often be difficult to reconcile, and creatively seek solutions that advance client interests while remaining in compliance with governing law. Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate both orally and in writing to various audience.
Preferred Qualifications: Understanding of probate, trusts, real property law, and federal Medicaid law a plus.
