Do you want to make a positive impact on the lives of Idaho's children and families? If this sounds like a good fit to you, we are seeking applicants for Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist (PSR) Family Service Worker (FSW) to join our Division of Child, Youth, and Family Services. This is a statewide position but can be located at any DHW office.
This position will be responsible for traveling to congregate care facilities both in-state and out of state to facilitate face to face contact with foster youth and to connect them to their caseworkers in Idaho via Zoom, WebEx, etc.
Extensive travel is required for this position.
This position is not eligible for telework.
The Idaho Department of Health & Welfare is a drug-free workplace. In addition, successful candidates will be required to complete a criminal history background investigation. Employment is dependent upon satisfactory results of the investigation.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
Determine appropriate client placement and ensure least restrictive environment, take action to reduce risk to client and others by providing emergency, crisis intervention, and after-hours on-call service.
Client counseling, social services, support, and change-oriented activities to preserve the family unit and promote client self-determination.
Design and apply varying treatment modalities for problem resolution.
