The Idaho Transportation Department is offering an exciting opportunity for a Building Facility Foreman at ITD Headquarters in Boise. This role involves overseeing comprehensive building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, and other related infrastructure. Key responsibilities include determining and supervising contractual obligations, hiring, and evaluating contractor performance, and managing budgets, projects, and equipment.
The Building Facility Foreman will work closely with stakeholders to define facility’s needs, manage property maintenance, and handle service contracts for the Headquarters Offices. Duties extend to managing repairs, projects, leases, preventive maintenance, contractor issues, and the budget. The role also encompasses operations management, public relations, emergency management, and hazmat incident coordination.
Note: This position requires a driver's record check, pre-employment/random drug testing, and duties that include 24/7 response.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
Building Facility Foreman for all Headquarters Facility projects. These projects range from minor renovations to entire structure rebuilds or replacements. Assist with the management of the operations budget.

Minimum Qualifications:
Considerable knowledge of building maintenance.
Good knowledge of building codes.
Some knowledge of: heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) related work; supervisory practices.
Experience: performing skilled repair and maintenance in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, building maintenance, and grounds-related work; using specialized tools and equipment associated with trades indicated; maintaining maintenance records and preparing related reports; estimating material needs and costs for jobs; reading blueprints and specifications.
