Salary: Depends on Experience (DOE); $90,000 to DOE.

Location: Boise, Idaho

Primary Duties: The successful applicant will be assigned to the Appellate Unit in the Criminal Law Division of the Idaho Attorney General’s Office. Practice in the Appellate Unit offers intellectually challenging work in a stimulating environment. Primary duties include conducting legal research, preparing briefs, and presenting oral arguments to the Idaho Supreme Court and the Idaho Court of Appeals in criminal and related cases. Appellate attorneys frequently consult on other cases handled by the Criminal Law Division because of their legal expertise and may also be asked to review legislation, serve on committees dealing with criminal law, or complete other related tasks.

Minimum Qualifications: Must be licensed to practice law in Idaho. Excellent research, writing, and word processing skills are a prerequisite.

Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience as a prosecutor is preferred but not required.
