The Idaho State Tax Commission is recruiting for a Program Supervisor in its Revenue Operations Division to provide system support by managing a team of Tax Automated System Specialists (TASS). The position is in the Boise Office at the Chinden Campus, 11321 West Chinden Blvd, Building 2. A compensation analysis will be completed for the selected candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Electronic Coordinator team, which provides support services for electronic filing and other internal and external tax and system support.
  • Manage and coach team member's performance by delivering clear job expectations and meaningful ongoing performance feedback.
  • Oversee the quality and timely completion of production maintenance and projects related to operations, system updates, changes, and data management.
  • Oversee and coach team members to effectively document processes and set performance measures to monitor and improve processes.
  • Management Reporting for Revenue Operations systems
  • Oversee the management of the electronic filing systems for the Division including processing, verification, balancing, and ensuring quality control measures are met.
  • Oversee the electronic taxpayer support function for the Division to include imaging stability and tech support management.
  • Advise management on security, integrity, and functionality of computer systems and software.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Some knowledge of management practices (Completion of at least 1 college-level course related to management practices OR completion of at least 60 hours of management training that included all elements of management (planning, organizing, leading, and controlling) OR at least 1 year of work experience that included all elements of management.)
  • At least 6 months of experience developing procedures and/or monitoring a budget
  • At least 6 months of experience providing liaison with customer/provider groups 
  • At least 6 months of experience interpreting federal or state regulations and laws
  • At least 3 months of  experience supervising staff that included work assignment, direction, and monitoring staff 

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Some knowledge of electronic transaction processing (at least 1 year of work experience that included designing or using an electronic transition processing system at a level which required needs analysis or in-depth knowledge)
  • Some knowledge of project management (at least 6 months of work experience that involved program or project planning and implementation as either a team member or individual contributor)
