Summary:
To perform professional nursing that may include client assessment, plan development, health education, clinical activities, case management, and provide direct nursing care; perform related work.

Provide primary, secondary, and teriary nursing to to SHW patients. 


Responsibilities:
Incumbents provide preventative, primary, secondary, and tertiary nursing to individuals, organizations and/or the community. They assess physical and psychosocial health, instruct and counsel patients, families, and/or caregivers in disease process, self-care, and health promotion techniques; develop plans of care, provide case management; identify, consult, and coordinate with community resources pertaining to health, social, and financial services; refer clients to community resources; perform skilled nursing services; provide supervision or oversight to licensed nursing staff and/or unlicensed auxiliary personnel; may conduct community health education.

Assess physical and psychosocial health, instruct and counsel patients, families, and/or caregivers in disease process, self-care, and health promotion techniques. Develop plans of care and provide case management. 

Detailed responsibilities:
* Minimum Qualifications: Licensed as a Professional or Registered Nurse in Idaho as defined by Idaho Code 54-1408 or state licensure as a Registered Nurse pursuant to the Nurse Licensure Compact, Idaho Code 54-1418, in one of the following compact states: Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Wisconsin. MQ Specialties: Some positions require a willingness to: work in an institution; learn psychosocial nursing.Some positions require 6 months experience as an MDS Coordinator.
