The Idaho Department of Water Resources is hiring a Management Assistant for the State Office in Boise. This position will provide broad administrative support to the director, deputy directors, Director's Office Staff, and senior management team. 

Example of duties

  • Coordinate and participate in senior management team meetings
  • Draft, edit, and review letters, memos, and other official correspondence and ensure consistency with the agency's style and established practices
  • Respond to inquiries and act as a liaison between the public and the Director's Office staff
  • Coordinate meeting arrangements and schedules for the director, deputy directors, and senior management team. This includes coordinating between the Governor's Office, Legislature, dignitaries, and other city, county, state, and federal agencies/entities
  • Interpret and apply department policies, procedures, and established practices and maintain Director's Office records
  • Prepare purchase card expenditures
  • Schedule meetings, coordinate AV and other facility needs
  • Maintain documents, directories, policies, and procedures, per agency practice

Minimum Qualifications

Experience:

  • Interpreting and applying regulations or policies and procedures
  • Planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating special projects
  • Independently researching, compiling, developing and summarizing material for reports on a frequent or recurring basis
  • Analyzing information, identifying problems, defining alternatives and developing recommendations for management/administrators
