The Infant Toddler Program is recruiting an individual with exceptional customer service skills for a Technical Records Specialist 1 position with the Infant Toddler Program. The position is located at our Boise Westgate office. If you have previously applied for a Technical Records Specialist 1 position and would like to be considered for the current opening, you must reapply under this announcement. The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm. Full time hours at the office during probationary/training period. After completion of training, telework with office hours dependent on program need.

The Infant Toddler Program provides services to children from birth up to three years of age. This is an administrative support staff position for the program that requires attention to detail, exemplary customer service and organization skills, and the ability to effectively communicate processes and regulations to internal and external customers.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:

  • Process all incoming referrals for the region to include: creating electronic files for new referrals, entering data, completing appropriate forms and correspondence in adherence to the program timelines. 
  • Contact families to confirm interest in participating in the program. 
  • Provide general information regarding the Infant Toddler Program and ability to direct callers to other state programs and resources as appropriate. 
  • Maintain organized records.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Processing and entering fiscal data.
  • Support and provide coverage as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

You must possess all the minimum qualifications below to pass the exam for this position. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience monitoring a records system to identify and correct errors. Typically requires one year of full-time work experience.
  • Experience researching a variety of sources to collect and compile information with good knowledge of services, operations and programs. Typically requires one year of full-time work experience.
  • Experience interpreting, explaining, and applying a variety of difficult rules, regulations, or policies to determine compliance or eligibility. These complex decisions could have affected the social or economic well-being of others or would result in a service or action being denied. Typically requires one year of work experience.
  • Experience entering and retrieving data using a computerized records system. Typically requires six months of work experience.

Below is preferred experience. It is not required for the position but applicants with this experience may receive consideration over other applicants.

  • Spanish speaking is a plus.
