If you are interested in growing professionally and are passionate about providing services to Idahoans, join the Division of Behavioral Health as a Clinician in our Caldwell and Boise field offices. The Clinical Services Bureau works to transform Idaho’s behavioral health system through collaboration, building expertise, and advancing clinically excellent care.

This is an ongoing announcement which means at the time applicants apply, we may or may not have an opening. This is a flexible/hybrid (combination of in-office and telework) position.

The Idaho Department of Health & Welfare is a drug-free workplace. Employment is dependent upon satisfactory results of the investigation.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:

  • Formulates assessments, evaluations, and therapeutic recommendations
  • Advocates for clients and families
  • Applies clinical skills to assess clients/family needs
  • Provides Forensic Services
  • Coordinates program with other services and community providers
  • Designs, implements, and directs multifaceted clinical therapies and rehabilitation programs
  • Evaluates treatment effectiveness and client/family outcomes
  • Provides crisis intervention support
  • Serves as a designated examiner and dispositioner

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

You must possess all the minimum and specialty minimum qualifications below to pass the exam for this position. Please make sure your resume or work history supports your meeting the minimum and specialty qualifications for this position. Failure to do this may disqualify you from being considered for this position. It is highly recommended to attach a one-page cover letter to your application to demonstrate how you meet the requirements below.

  • A Master's Degree (or higher) in a direct clinical practice Human Services field is required for this position. (Master's degree in social work, psychology, marriage and family counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychosocial rehabilitation counseling, psychiatric nursing, or very closely related field of study.)

SPECIALTY MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • This position requires licensure in one of following: Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC), Licensed Pastoral Counselors (LPAS), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors (LCPC), and Licensed Marriage & Family Therapists (LMFT).
