Southwest Idaho Treatment Center in Nampa is seeking individuals who are driven to make an impact to our clients lives. This announcement will be used to fill only the Medical Clinic RN position. Nurses provide psychiatric inpatient treatment and skilled nursing care for Idaho‚Äôs adult citizens with the most persistent mental illnesses. We are looking to fill multiple shifts including NOC shift. Employees working 2nd shift and/or NOC shift are eligible for a 5% shift differential hourly pay increase.

The Idaho Department of Health & Welfare is a drug-free workplace. Any applicant offered employment in this position at the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare will be required to pass a pre-employment drug test. In addition, successful candidates will be required to complete a criminal history background investigation. Employment is dependent upon satisfactory results of the investigation. 

This is an ongoing announcement which means at the time applicants apply, we may or may not have an opening. Those applicants that take and pass the exam to show they meet the minimum qualifications will be placed on the referral list. When a position becomes available, the hiring supervisor will then directly contact those applicants they wish to interview off the referral list. 

This announcement may be used to fill full-time and temporary positions. Temporary positions are limited to working 1,385 hours in a 12-month period for any one state agency. Employees are eligible for benefits if they work twenty (20) hours or more per week and the term of employment is expected to exceed five (5) continuous months.

  • Patient assessment 
  • Scheduling medical clinic appointments 
  • Care plan development Health education (including employee health and infection control) 
  • Clinical activities 
  • Case management 
  • Direct nursing services (including treatments) 
  • Medical equipment monitoring

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

You must possess all the minimum qualifications below to pass the exam for this position.
